Michael Manginelli
Michael Manginelli is currently a third year student at Youngstown State University pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. Michael works as a lab assistant in YSU’s Center for Innovation in Additive Manufacturing (CIAM) where he works on projects, partnering with both academia and industry, to advance research in the field of additive manufacturing. With regard to additive manufacturing, his area of interest involves the creation of kinematic mechanisms. Michael is involved on campus with the Ohio Lambda chapter of Tau Beta Pi, which is an honor society for engineering students, as well as the YSU chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Before attending YSU, Michael graduated from Howland High School the same year he earned his Eagle Scout award, the highest rank in scouting. In his spare time, Michael also enjoys playing music. He has played percussion since fifth grade and picked up guitar in high school.
Ryan Betts
Ryan Betts is a senior at Youngstown State University where he pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. He has been working as a lab assistant at YSU’s Center for Innovation in Additive Manufacturing since Fall 2015. He has also spent two summers as an Engineering Intern at General Motors and hopes to find a career in the field of additive manufacturing following his graduation in Spring 2017. Ryan is a Leslie Cochran University Scholar and is a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and YSU’s Stem Leadership Society.
